1. Q: What is Hemodialysis?
Hemodialysis is the removal of patient blood, fluid and toxin through a Semi Permeable membrane (artificial kidney). Hemodialysis is for those diagnose with End Stage Renal Disease (E.S.R.D.)
2. Q: How long is the Hemodialysis Program?
The program is 6 weeks long. Days, Evening and Saturday classes available. (On campus only)
3. Q: Does Dialysis4Career offer an online Training Certificate program?
Yes, our online accredited hemodialysis training program is an alternative and an economical way to become an hemodialysis professional. After successfully completing the program online, we will mail you your certificate within 48 hours.
4. Q: How long does it take to complete the online program?
Students will have 60 days to complete the program. However, most students can complete it in much shorter time.
5. Q: How would I get my hands on training?
All dialysis providers are required to provide new employees with additional training that includes hands on.
6. Q: Is a hands on training available with the online program?

7. Q: What is the Education Requirement?
Must be 18 years of age, must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, High School graduate or equivalent for non-nurses. Current license for RN and LPN/LVN Medical background preferred.
8. Q: Where can a hemodialysis patient care technicians and nurses seek employment?
Dialysis as a healthcare provider can find employment in hospitals, dialysis clinics, nursing homes and home dialysis.
9. Q: Does Dialysis4Career offer job placement?
D4C will assist graduates in seeking employment within their field of study. D4C does not guarantee placement or salaries of a graduate.
10. Q: Will Dialysis4Career provide hands on training?
Yes, 50% of the program is geared to hands on training. Students will learn how to setup and operate the dialysis machine, practice cannulation using venipuncture training arm, lab training, preparation of catheters for pre and post dialysis and much more. (On Campus Only)
11. Q: Is Dialysis4Career licensed and registered with the New York State Education Department?
Absolutely, every school must be licensed and registered. To find out if Dialysis4Career or any other trade school is licensed and registered go to www.highered.nysed.gov. Pleases be advised that any hemodialysis course, program or school that charge a fee/tuition must be approved by NYSED.
